It's hard to say. I'm not sure if the compulsion can even be resisted—it seems like it'd be too easy in that case. There are plenty of us willing to die to protect others, I suspect.

But we'd still have to know who could be carrying the curse in order to protect anyone else from it.

Junpei knew who had it a few days ago, but even then, we acknowledged it was likely it had already been passed on by the time he told me.

Then we won't know unless someone else comes forward about it.

The problem is that there's no real advantage to making it public, regardless of their intentions. If they want to pass it on, they're not going to warn anyone else. If they don't, then there's incentive to keep it to yourself so that no one will try to save you.

You're right... If we find a cure, that would be one thing. Otherwise, there isn't much we can do, as it is.

How did you all learn about it, and track it, anyway?

Someone caught it and told me after they passed it on, because they were concerned.

I don't know how Junpei's been tracking it, though I'd assume he's just been asking people.

Then we could try asking again, but I don't expect everyone here to be truthful about it. It may be better to ask Chuuya if there is a way to fix it. I'm not seeing many other options.

Last I heard, he was still investigating what it even is. But he might've figured something out by now.

It's worth asking, at least. What else can we do, if the cursed doesn't come forward?

He's not. But he's still getting information we need, so if we want to minimize the risk and better our chances of winning against the demons, we still have to work with him. It's just a matter of finding a way to keep him on task.

For most people, there's a way to convince them to cooperate. All we have to do is find out how.
